Our language activities are designed to help us use the English language correctly.
Emphasis is placed on reading, writing, listening, and speaking.

Math
Our math activites are focused on prompt recall and usage of multiplication and division facts. Knowledge of these leads us to being successful in performing operations that involve fractions, division, and word problems that involve multi step higher level thinking skills.

Social Studies
Our curriculum is based on the study of United States history. Extra emphasis is placed on how our government was formed and how the three branches interact to ensure that democracy remains strong so that our country will remain the world's leader.

Science
Fifth grade science is the most challenging academic area we study. It involves physical, as well as, life science. The textbook that we use is very thorough and demanding. Students are expected to really have a working knowledge of the concepts that we study.
