Students will have assignments Monday through Thursday except for special occasions.  Most educational experts agree that students should have no more than 15 to 30 minutes of homework each night while in the first grade.  If you find your child is taking much longer than this, there could be a problem and we should schedule a conference. Of course, any special projects we are working on would be an exception to this rule.

The Weekly Homework link will give you an overview of the week.  Please check this link for spelling words, reading vocabulary words, and other notes about what we will be studying in all subject areas for the week. The Daily Homework link will give the actual daily assignments. 

Please make sure your child has a quiet place to do homework away from distractions.  Your child should be able to complete assignments with minimal, if any, help from a parent.  However, please check over your child's homework to make sure it is neatly completed.
