Timeline

Create and read a time line.  A timeline shows information or events using words and/or pictures in order, along a line, with dates or other time words. 

Calendar

Students should be able to identify and write the month, year, dates, days of the week, and to use the calendar to identify when holidays or special events occur.  They need to be able to find a date that is a one or two weeks earlier or later than a given date.  They need to be able to find the day of a given date.  They need to be able to find the date for a given day, such as the seond Wednesday.

Maps

Students need to be able to create maps that include a map key and a compass rose.  

Students need to be able to follow or give directions to a location on a map.  

Students will also use maps with distances to solve addition and subtraction story problems.
