The Louisiana Writes Young Writers Contest is an annual contest sponsored by the Louisiana Writing Project.  Students in Louisiana submit examples of poetry, fiction, or non-fiction to be judged by professional authors in each category and grade level.  Winners are honored at the Louisiana Book Festival in November.  This year's winners will be honored on Saturday, November 3rd, 2007.
