At Home Activities



Reading

 

  • Read a book to your child every night before bed.
  • Write your child's name and then have your child read the letters of their name to you and see if they know each letter's sound.
  • Ask your child what the magic word of the week is and help them find it in their reading.

Everday Math
  • Be able to identify numbers from 0-20, challenge them to go beyond!
  • Practice writing your numbers from 0-10.
  • Compare sets of objects, talk about how they are the same, different, or equal. Ex: Count socks and ask how many are white and how many are not white.

 

 

Writing
  • Practice Writing your name first and last and write it on every paper for school.
  • Write simple sentences using words you know. I see a cat. Students can draw a picture to match their sentence.
  • Remember finger space!!!!!!

 

Science and Social Studies

We will be learning about our five senses soon!

Social Studies

  • We are still learning about feelings and how to handle them.
  • We will be learning about rules at home, school and the community.
  • We will also be learning about community helpers, let me know if you want to come and share with our class if you serve in that role in our community. We need volunteers!
