Accelerated Reader - Each nine weeks each student is required to read one book from the Accelerated Reader list. This book must be 4th grade reading level or above. Students will be tested on their comprehension skills when they have completed a book using the Accelerated Reader computer program. I will count their highest AR grade each nine weeks as a regular reading test grade worth 100 points. Students are not limited to the number of AR books they can read and are encouraged to read as many as possible each nine weeks.

KidBiz - Each week I will assign and e-mail students the titles of the two KidBiz articles that are required for the week. They can find these articles by clicking on mail on the left hand side of the screen once the have logged in on KidBiz. Students are required to read the articles and respond to the multiple choice questions that follow. KidBiz will score and report student responses. Students will be graded on first try responces only. Scores from these articles will be included as part of their reading grade for each nine weeks.
