Welcome back to school, I hope you had a wonderful summer. I am looking forward to an exciting year in the library.  We will be busy studying reference resources in the 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades which will prepare us for the iLEAP and LEAP test.  

  The Accelerated Reader program is off to a good start.  After your child reads an Accelerated Reader book, he/she takes a test on one of the computers in his/her classroom.  If they make a 100 on the test, they have a circle put up in the library.  The classes with the most AR points at the end of the nine weeks gets a trophy. Wonder which classes will win the trophy for the first nine weeks?

Did you know that not only can we turn in UPC labels from Community Coffee, but we can also turn in  the cash register receipts form CC's Coffee House?  We spend all of the money received on Accelerated Reader test and materials.

Please encourage your child to read or take time and read to them. A good book is a good friend!
