Donald Graves is one of the leading experts in teaching children to write.  His driving point is to write, write, and keep writing.   Learning the skill of writing is very much like learning to play an instrument.  You learn the basics, but you must use the skill to really know it. 

It is a pleasure to write with our K-5 students at BRCVPA.  They amaze me with their ideas and enthusiasm.   I am pleased to have a web site to  share some of their writings with you and to keep you informed about certain contests that our students are eligible to enter.
